This engagement is one for the history books. Thomas and Tara have been friends for years while working at the same campus ministry at UCF. Recently, they decided that being friends had been fun but marriage would be way better. Thomas planned to propose to Tara in New Orleans, somewhere they had always talked about going. Tara had no idea. He took her to the airport and she didn’t learn where they were really going until she boarded the plane! How exciting and romantic!!  My husband, Blake, picked them up from the airport as their “Uber driver” and took them to Jackson Square right in front of the St. Louis Cathedral. He popped the question (with paparazzi watching) and she said yes!! Celebratory beignets were in order at the Cafe Du Monde. What a sweet and romantic proposal this was! Blake and I are so happy that we were able to be a part of it. Congratulations, Thomas and Tara! 🙂
