I cannot believe it. Cal is 1 year old today! Is this real?! I am both happy and sad about this milestone. Being a parent has had its difficulties and the first year has been one of growing and learning for all of us. Some moments have been tough and some moments rewarding. I am a little relieved it is over. I am so glad we made it with him alive until his first birthday!! However, I am sad it is over. I am so excited for Cal to keep on growing but at the same time I want him to slow down a little. I guess that is why parenting is so hard. There are so many different emotions involved. Anyway, I am so thankful for this little person who has no fear and climbs everything. He makes my heart melt. He cheeses like no other, chases our dogs, and loves playing clapping games. He takes steps but isn’t fully walking yet. I cannot believe this is my tiny little baby that I held in my arms just one year ago! Happy Birthday my little Cal!!
